Job Title: Logistics and Expediting Specialist
Job Purpose
Carry out external and internal logistics activities of Supply Chain by ensuring safety and timely deliveries of Barakah Nuclear Power Plant (BNPP) materials. Liaise with statutory authorities and other stakeholders for obtaining duty exemption, customs clearance, permissions and approvals to achieve the goal of clearance and delivery of the ENEC Operations Procured Materials. Assist in defining the logistics requirements and ensure the compliance against classification of materials such as Radioactive, Hazardous and Chemicals

Logistics Operations
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
• Assist in determining the appropriate mode of transport such as sea freight, air freight, and courier based on
urgency and other requirements of the plant and end-user to comply with Purchase Order requirement.
• Carry out logistics activities in coordination with external and internal departments’ authorities and bodies such as
Federal Authority for Nuclear Operations (FANR), (Industrial Development Bureau) IDB, Telecom Regulatory Authority (TRA) and other relevant government authorities to ensure appropriate government processes is done for clearing the shipments.
• Negotiate applicable INCOTERMS for any specific transport and report any issues with respect to Safety, Cost, Risk and Plant requirement to ensure compliance to BNPP requirements at all transportation modes for all categories of goods.
• Facilitate the activities of all transportation modes for all categories of goods to ensure compliance to BNPP requirements.
• Liaise with suppliers, forwarding agents and other service providers for Logistics requirements including readiness of the items, collection and on-carriage of materials and delivery to BNPP to ensure a smoother shipping process.
• Ensure supplier's complete and valid data package or documentation for all clearances before submitting to relevant authorities for duty exemption and customs clearance process.
• Coordinate with internal customers to ensure cargo delivery scheduling systems, documentation procedures and shipping information systems are communicated, and deliveries are as per schedule,
• Respond and follow up any customer complaint/queries related to the deliveries and import matters, and ensure the issue is closed in the most appropriate manner ensuring the customer.
• Coordinate with the Warehouse team for storage and delivery of Materials to ensure appropriate and accurate shipping and storage of all types of import shipments.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
• Carry out logistic activities in terms of obtaining duty exemption, leasing and registration with cost effectiveness to ensure smooth delivery process.
• Process duty exemption requirements with various authorities such as Industrial Development Bureau (Duty Exemption Authority for Abu Dhabi), Ministry of Finance (Federal Duty exemption authority for Dubai, Sharjah), and various Freezone authorities to ensure seamless on time delivery.
• Liaise with Customs Authorities and Free zone for Processing Customs clearance formalities for the imported
material to ensure the appropriate process of moving the items from the port to BNPP.
• Interface with various port authorities such as Abu Dhabi Ports, Dubai Ports, Sharjah Ports, and their subsidiary departments including Container Freight Stations (CFS), Port Operation teams, for day-to-day activities and requirements to ensure business needs are compiled on a timely basis.
• Interface with Airport authorities such as Abu Dhabi Airport Services (Etihad Cargo Services), Dubai Airport Services (DNATA), Sharjah Airport Authority, etc. for timely release and speedy process of the formalities to meet various business requirements of cargo release and delivery to BNPP.
Special Cargo Management - Radioactive, Dangerous, Heavy and Bulk Cargoes.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
• Carry out and coordinate dangerous goods and temperature-controlled shipments in a safely manner to comply with the process and procedures.
• Organize shipment for heavy components, bulky material, critical and sensitive materials, Chemicals.
• Ensure Dangerous goods are transported with transportation plan or procedure incorporating adequate measures to avoid potential risks.
Damages and Claims
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
• Liaise with Freight forwarders and Service providers for the prevention of damages such as the shipping packages and in extreme cases material and equipment.
• Process claims such as damages, short, loss of cargo, etc. with Suppliers, Forwarders or any other parties concerned to provide a suitable solution for the issues and provide report of such issues to the management
Customer Service and Trouble shooting
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
• Liaise with suppliers to ensure that the delivery schedule is achieved as per purchase order and trouble shoot any bottlenecks for logistics related issues.
• Liaise with the Procurement Team and end users for the requirements and accomplish to meet the required action as per the timeframe.
• Organize regular meetings with end users and other related departments to ensure meeting their requirements on time and also to improve the services.
