Job Title: Radioactive Waste Management Facility Program Expert
Job Purpose
Responsible for supporting the interface between ENEC-RWM and the RWM Facility contractor/partner, and provide expert technical, program and operational support in the development of radioactive waste management facilities in accordance with regulatory requirements and best industrial practices.
Key Activities, Responsibility & Accountability
Management of the Radioactive Waste Management (RWM) Facility Program.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
• Provide support to achieve the objectives and deliverables of the RWM division.
• Support the RWM Facility Program Section to develop, plan, and implement the RWM division initiatives, milestones, and programs by providing advice.
• Provide intelligent customer support to ensure effective technical and operational site activities for the siting, characterization, construction, and planning/preparation for RWM Facility operations.
• Provide program support to ensure effective and timely execution of tasks by developing RWM division policies and procedures.
• Ensure alignment and compliance of RWM BAU activities with the processes and procedures adopted within the ENEC organization
RWM Facility Site Conditions and Environmental Assessment
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
• Engage key stakeholders, such as the Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi (EAD) and FANR, to ensure compliance with requirements for Environmental Assessment and Environmental Safety Assessment for radioactive waste management facilities.
• Lead the development of the RWM Facility environmental monitoring program to ensure comprehensive environmental management by including the CEMP, OEMP, and REMP programs.
• Lead the program interfacing efforts to ensure effective collaboration between ENEC-RWM and RWM Facility Development contractors/partners with a focus on environmental management plans and assessments.
• Support site characterization and monitoring to ensure accurate input into Environmental Impact Statements (EIS) and Environmental Safety Assessments (ESA).
• Provide input to the design and relevant safety assessments to ensure appropriate input into Environmental Impact Statements and Environmental Safety Assessments through Site Characterization and Site Monitoring activities
• Act as project manager to ensure effective planning, initiation, and execution of relevant project plans for the development of the RWM Facility Program.
Support the implementation of project controls to ensure effective scheduling, project risk management, budgeting, and reporting for the RWM Facility Program.

Radioactive Waste Management Facility Licensing Requirements
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
• Ensure compliance with national legislation, regulations, and requirements to facilitate the siting, management, and disposal of radioactive waste.
• Engage with FANR and Environment Agency - Abu Dhabi (EAD), through Licensing, to ensure effective development and operation of the radioactive waste management facility program.
• Support the development of license applications to ensure adherence to license conditions.
• Develop and coordinate responses to address relevant requests from FANR and EAD by ensuring compliance with the licensing process and other relevant requirements from national regulatory bodies.
Stakeholder Engagement
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
• Provide support and input to ensure the effectiveness of the RWM Division’s stakeholder engagement and communication plan.
• Facilitate effective collaboration between ENEC-RWM and RWM Facility Development contractors/partners.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to foster productive and collaborative relationships.
• Prepare and present progress updates to relevant stakeholders to ensure transparency and awareness of the radioactive waste management program.
Professional Certifications
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other relevant Science Subject
Pref - Master’s Degree in a relevant Engineering/Science field
Experience
6 to 7 years’ experience in radioactive waste management facility programs
• Experience in environmental management and assessment 3+ years in environmental management/assessment
