Job Purpose

To lead development and updates of investment strategies and partnerships while supporting assessments and internal approvals to drive energy and infrastructure projects. Ensure alignment with ENEC goals through strong project management and market insights.
 

Key Activities, Responsibility & Accountability


Investment Strategy Development and Execution
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:  
•    Lead the design, development, and ongoing refinement of investment strategies that align with the ENEC's overall vision and financial objectives.
•    Ensure strategies cover multiple geographic markets including the US and Europe, as well as sector-specific focuses such as fuel supply chain, new reactors, and services.
•    Drive prioritization of investment opportunities based on risk-return profiles and long-term value creation.
•    Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis, including macroeconomic trends, competitive positioning, and sector developments, to inform strategic decisions.
•    Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as finance, risk management, and operations to develop robust investment plans and forecasts.
•    Continuously monitor portfolio performance and adjust strategies to respond to evolving market conditions, regulatory changes, and emerging risks.
•    Prepare strategic investment roadmaps and present recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders for alignment and approval.
Strategic Partnerships and Corporate Collaboration

•    Identify, evaluate, and secure strategic partnerships that complement and enhance the ENEC's investment portfolio and growth ambitions.
•    Foster strong relationships within corporate Business Development & Investments (BD&I) teams and other key internal stakeholders to support enterprise-wide initiatives.
•    Ensure investment activities align with broader corporate goals including budgets, resource planning, and transformation programs.
•    Lead negotiations and due diligence for partnership opportunities, ensuring mutually beneficial terms and clear governance frameworks.
Market Intelligence and Advocacy

•    Oversee the collection, synthesis, and dissemination of market intelligence to support strategic decision-making and competitive advantage.
•    Act as the ENEC's representative in industry associations, regulatory bodies, and advocacy forums to promote ENEC interests and influence relevant policies.
•    Build and maintain a strong external network including government agencies, industry experts, and market analysts.
•    Design and implement market intelligence frameworks and tools that provide timely, accurate, and actionable insights.
•    Lead regular competitor analysis and benchmarking exercises to identify market gaps and emerging threats.
•    Prepare and deliver presentations, reports, and briefings to internal teams and external stakeholders summarizing key market trends and advocacy positions.
•    Participate in public policy discussions and regulatory consultations, coordinating with legal and compliance teams to ensure alignment.
Investment Assessment and Internal Support

•    Provide critical support for investment evaluation, ensuring thorough financial, operational, and risk assessments.
•    Manage the internal approval process, coordinating inputs and documentation to meet governance standards.
•    Monitor ongoing investments to track performance and compliance with agreed-upon objectives.
•    Conduct detailed financial modeling, scenario analysis, and risk assessments for potential investment opportunities.
•    Compile comprehensive investment proposals, including executive summaries, risk analyses, and projected returns, for review by decision-making committees.
•    Facilitate cross-departmental reviews and feedback sessions to address questions and incorporate recommendations.
•    Implement tracking mechanisms and regular reporting cycles to monitor portfolio performance and identify any necessary corrective actions.

Professional Certifications

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.

Pref - Master’s degree in management business administration (MBA)

Experience

10 to15 years of experience total
•    BD / investment experience in energy and infrastructure
•    International and GCC experience.
•    Experience in international markets, particularly in the energy or infrastructure sectors.
