Job Title: Senior Emergency Response Specialist (Teslam)
Job Purpose
To monitor and implement Emergency Preparedness and Response related programs, procedures, regulations and guidelines across ENEC to ensure readiness to respond to fire and other emergency incidents in efficient manner to prevent/reduce employee exposures to adverse conditions, minimize the impact of emergency event on people, property, reputation. Key Activities, Responsibility & Accountability
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
• Work closely with organizational safety teams, HQ operations manager and team leaders in implementing internal safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with the best practices in the nuclear industry.
• Provide guidance and expert advice to leadership teams on all emergency response related policies, practices, procedures, and legislation.
• Perform and review risk assessments covering all ENEC sites to minimize impacts of emergencies and emergency response activities.
• Participate in the investigation of accidents and injuries and cooperate in the preparation of material evidence for the organization to use when making recommendations to prevent recurrence.
• Direct the implementation of strategies to effectively resolve problems with emergency management and emergency response activities.
• Provide regular written reports, as well as other documents and updates to the management team to appraise the team of issues related to emergency management.
• Review of HSEMS procedures relevant to emergency response as periodical review/ part of change management e.g. ISO 45001
• Active participation in Culture of Safety observation programs and other initiatives.

Process Management

• Coordinate Emergency Response with the Business Continuity Team
• Ensure compliance with UAE Fire Life Safety Code & OSHAD requirements for Emergency Planning
• Coordinate and provide Floor Warden / First Aid Training and Awareness Sessions
• Maintain Register - Floor Wardens and First Aiders
• Coordinate and Evaluate Building Emergency Drills with BNPP (CPO-HSE), BCM Dept, and external stakeholders and Emergency Response Planning (ERP’s) to include Local Authorities (Civil Defense, Police)
• Develop and review existing building ERPs
• Participate/ lead safety and medical incidents investigation.
• Act as a focal point between Corporate HSE and Sustainability and all parties ERT
• Coordinate offsite facilities ERP and Planning
• Coordinate and support for Emergency Drills and Large BCM Drills (Scenario Review, attend drills, ER awareness

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, fire science, or safety related field
Experience
• 5 years relevant experience with at least 3 years within an industrial organization, with exposure to power plants, oil and gas, and utilities
• Understanding of international and local safety standards
• 3 years’ experience in a Safety specialist role or equivalent
