Job Purpose


Develop and conduct maintenance and modification of software model for the full scope simulators and classroom simulators to support the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant (BNPP) Training Program.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
•Implement the simulator maintenance and testing program for full scope and classroom simulators to ensure operations training can be performed efficiently and with high performance.
•Check simulator fidelity to ensure it reflects actual plant configuration for an accurate simulator experience.
•Perform software and hardware regression tests to ensure that updates do not alter the behavior of the simulation and that fidelity is always maintained.
•Perform validation tests in an integrated environment to ensure that a special fix has improved the behavior of a response, based on some plant or design data.
•Monitor and track plant activities and assign priorities to the deficiencies and needed simulator enhancements raised during plant operations and training sessions; monitor the implementation of these enhancements to ensure deadlines are being met.
•Perform the integration of various modules within the simulator, including software and driver installation, in addition to some minor network activities, to ensure accurate simulator availability.
•Provide support in conducting design reviews and simulator acceptance tests, in factory and on site to improve simulator operating standards.
•Perform document testing of simulator changes to ensure fidelity with reference Nuclear Power Plant.
•File configuration records for software models to enforce strong record-keeping.

Minimum
•Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
•2 years of relevant experience.

Or equivalent as stated in the Job Description Procedure (HR-PR-0004).

•Experience in software modeling for oil and gas training simulators.
